Today, Arthur D. “Ozzie” Haddad, former Miami County Commissioner, endorsed and has accepted the position of honorary chairman of the O’Brien for Miami County Commissioner campaign.

John W. O’Brien is running in the Republican Primary election being held on May 2nd.

John W. O’Brien stated, “ I am honored to have a person of Ozzie’s experience and integrity join the campaign. Having his support means a great deal to me personally and to the campaign as a whole. Ozzie knows what it takes to do the job of Miami County Commissioner and the fact he believes I am the best qualified to help lead Miami County is humbling and appreciated.”

Haddad added, “I have known John since the early 1990’s. I worked with him before he became Miami County Recorder in 1996 and as a fellow elected official. He is exactly what Miami County needs on its board of County Commission. A man of conservative principals, common sense decision making and the ability to work with everyone.” Haddad continued, “John O’Brien has managed his office conservatively with an eye towards the future. He upgraded his office by installing computer technology that made his office more efficient and easier to use. This enabled his office to handle the massive increase in recordings without increasing his budget proportionately. We need some one with John’s abilities on the Miami County Commission.”

“John W. O’Brien will make a great Commissioner. I endorse him and ask all who know me and my reputation to do the same.” Haddad concluded.
